In our travels north and south we saw lots of signs up in restaurants and coffee shops advising they were hiring and apologising for delays etc. The food was always perfect and the service superb. We used Steak and Shake a couple of times (still good), Baja Miguels on the first night (love the Margaritas along with everything else about the place!) Ate at Primarily Prime Rib on the Thursday and this is still a great place to have a decent cut of meat. Plenty of clean towels always available no matter the time of day we were down there. The pool area was very clean and we never had to look hard for a sun bed to relax on. The girls working out there were kept busy but were always friendly and by the end of the week recognised us and always had a chat. We used the pool area quite a few days and the pool side bar service was excellent. No hassle and just a quick 20 second phone call. When we checked in they asked us about house keeping but we just called down on the morning we wanted the room tidied up etc. My only complaint about Vegas hotels is that the tv channel selection in the room is usually atrocious, probably because they don't want you in the room watching tv !! But there were enough decent channels to keep us happy at the end of the night. Bathroom was a decent size with the shower and toilet separated by a door from the bathroom sink etc. Beds were comfy and the room was spotless. Got a double queen room that was immaculate. Decided to book it again this time, ignored all the negative reviews on TA as most of them seem to have been posted by people with no previous history on TA so they can be tossed out the window!! Arrived late on a Saturday afternoon and the place was hopping! Got checked in very quickly and asked and was given a room up on the 23rd floor facing out towards the mountains and out over the pool area. We have been to LV 4 times previously and the last 3 of those visits we stayed at the South Point. Vegas is only a 20 hour drive from where we live and we have done Ontario to Florida before which is a similar distance so our plans were set. South of The Strip Las Vegas |17.88km from city center We moved to Alberta from Ontario late last year and just got around to planning a holiday. I have to accept! It’s the very good experience to book hotel trough the third party! I got only the reaction from him that “do you need translator?”. Unfortunately, I was threatened by the guy to reinforce me to take this room (Queen twin beds), even though I tried to prove him. I was very happy because I expected that he would change my room to my paid one, Premier King bed. When I was in that Queen twin beds room, I got a call from the hotel supervisor. The just explained me that the hotel is under renovation, there are not enough rooms, and I accept the room Queen twin beds already. And she forced me to take the Queen twin beds.Ģ. She told me to ask the 3rd person, whom I booked my room (). She goes on “no Premier King bed available”. But the hotel offered me Queen twin beds. My booking number is *********** (check-in on Oct 8, check out on Oct 11). I paid for Premier King bed (confirmed by ). Las Vegas Strip Las Vegas |7.14km from city center I had the very bad experience for the first time in my life.ġ. There are some strange rules, like in the wave pool you must be past a certain line and cannot lay or kneel in the shallower end. The swimming pools were the reason we booked this hotel and they did not disappoint. Kitchenware (cork screw) was not available when calling concierge services but was available for purchase in the shop. The manager on duty of the hotel did try to remedy the accidental extra room we booked by providing a dining voucher, but it was under the amount the non-refundable accidental booking was. If there was an accidental booking, the hotel will not authorize Trip to refund the money, even if you request right after the booking is made. The hotel was very clean but sometimes it’s necessary to request cleaning service or the rooms wouldn’t be cleaned.ĭo not make a mistake on the booking if you book through Trip. Expect to use riding services for further destinations on the *****. The Mandalay Bay is toward the end of the *****, so it’s a long walk to most places.
